By plane:

Thessaloniki airport is the nearest international airport and is approximately 4 hours drive east of Prespa.

By train:

There is a train service from Thessaloniki, which will take you as far as Florina, one hours drive from Prespa. For schedules and prices contact the train company OSE.

By bus:

KTEL runs services twice daily to both Kastoria and Florina from Athens. There are also five buses daily from Thessaloniki. There is no public transport from Kastoria to Prespa.
      The local bus service runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday:

• From Florina to Prespa: 8.00am and 3.00pm.
• From Prespa (Agios Germanos) to Florina: 8.00am and 4.00pm. The travel will last approximately 1.5 hour.
  

By taxi:

Local taxis will make the run out to Prespa from both Kastoria and Florina, which should not exceed 30€. Try to ensure that they do this with the meter on, as many will inflate the price otherwise.

By car:

Prespa can be accessed by car.

• From Florina , take the road signposted to Prespa from the main roundabout as you arrive. The right turn into Prespa is a further 35km after crossing over the pass at Vigla and passing through the villages of Pisoderi and Andartiko (indicated).
  
• From Kastoria, Before getting to Kastoria from the direction of Kozani this is signposted to the left, direction ‘Albania, Kristallopiji’ and then ‘Prespes’. In both cases the left turn for Prespa will be found after approximately 30km having passed a turn for the Albanian border and the villages of Kotas, Prasino and Trigono.
