The Book of Pelicans, Giorgos Catsadorakis

For many people there would be no meaning to Prespa without the colonies of pelicans which breed here every year. In his unique style Giorgos Catsadorakis tells us everything we didn’t know that we needed to know about these majestic birds and their threatened existence. Full of stunning photography this book guides us through the life of pelicans to an understanding of our place in their world. The book contains the full Greek and English texts.

The Monuments of Prespa


This is a detailed guide to all the churches, monasteries, hermitages and rock frescos of Greek Prespa. With full colour photography throughout, this book is indispensable to anyone wishing to learn more about this part of Prespa’s rich cultural heritage. The book is available in Greek and English.

En Route, Paris Petridis


During 1993 to 1997 the renowned photographer Paris Petridis traveled amongst the settlements and communities scattered between two ends of Greece, from Igoumenitsa to Evros. This book is a personal selection of haunting, challenging and evocative black and white images from those journeys. Mr. Petridis allows us glimpses of a country rarely seen by outsiders, the inner landscape of northern Greece.

Red Peppers of Prespa

When one think to Prespa, one think of the Red Pepper. In this book, are gathered the local receipes using red pepper. In a programm designed by CTP, the school's children wihtin the three border countries (Greece, Albania and FYROM),gathered receipes. The result is this great book, illustrates by photograpy of the greek photographer Paris Petridis, and some locals dictoms involving the red pepper. Being the first book in four language (English, Greek, Albanian and the official language of FYROM), this is as well a prototype for further crossborder cooperation in the area.

The heritage of Ohrid and Prespa Lakes

Thanks to the great help of the GTZ,is there now a brochure for the Prespa Ohrid region. It contain inforamtion and photography about everything what you want to know about the local culture, events,monuments and cuisine. Moreover it contain some advise for sport, trekking, night life, and hotel.

Prespa map

This is the only available detailed map of the area featuring all the villages and churches, roads and paths and the surrounding mountains. All the text is in both Greek and English.

CTP - Paris Petridis Postcard Set

CTP is proud to publish a set of six postcards with images of Prespa. The artist specially donated the photographs to the company. They were taken during the research period for his book “En Route” although only one of the images was in the final imprint the rest are of previously unpublished work.

"From a Mountain Garden" – Natural and Organic Products from Prespa

Established in 2001 ‘From a Mountain Garden’ is a small company based in Agios Germanos producing purely organic and natural products. In our gardens we grow a large range of herbs, flowers, fruit and vegetables including many historical varieties not commonly found in Europe today. The company is certified as organic by DIO.
Our range includes herbs for culinary and medicinal use as well as a selection of pure herbal teas, homemade jams, pickles and delicacies. Our range of toiletries, soaps and cosmetics reflects our belief in the pure and powerful properties of nature’s finest ingredients.

Zouzeli Ceramics

These beautiful ceramics are all individually hand thrown and crafted to bring you the very best of young local design. Based in Florina the ‘Kerameio’ produces a wide range of contemporary pottery influenced by the seasons, colours and landscape of the lakes and mountains of Greece. Products include: vases; Greek coffee cups as well as mugs; jugs for tsipouro or wine with ‘glasses’ as part of a set; ashtrays; candle and tea light holders; incense and scented oil burners.

Spoon Sweets and Jams from the homes of Prespa

Delicious spoon sweets to sample with your coffee or tea or on their own for a special treat as well as a range of jams made from the wild fruit harvests of Prespa. Spoon sweets include: mandarin, quince, pumpkin, and the local specialty of white bean. Jams include: White and Red Mulberry as well as ‘Coromilo’ jam from fruit found only here in Northern Greece. A delicious local honey from the Florina region can also be found here as well as tangy pickled beetroot from the gardens of Agios Germanos.

Crafts and Handiwork

We sell a small selection from the wide array of local handiwork to be found in Prespa. For so long a remote and isolated area the region’s housewives have passed down these crafts from one generation to another as their self sufficient means of producing many goods so far from other commercial centres. Amongst this range some of the most attractive items are the intricately knitted socks that women wear as slippers in the house to keep out the winter cold. We also stock a small range of hand made jewellery made to individual designs using contemporary materials combined with traditional skills.
