Networking and Development of NGOs

The role of Civil Society is gradually gaining importance in all the European states. The actions, the mobility and the initiatives of CSOs are expressed in collective actions such as the actions of NGOs, unions, foundations and other organisations and also the efforts of individuals and/or informal groups for the strengthening of the local societies. The CTP efforts include actions for capacity building, networking and taking of initiatives.

The Prespa – Ohrid lakes, the biotope, the beauty of the traditional villages and the architecture of the towns make the area favourite destination for thousands of tourists from all over the world. Sightseers, explorers, mountaineers, animal lovers and just visitors that seek the tranquillity, the beauty and the authenticity, choose again and again the area as a place for their vacation. The support of cross-border collaborations by the national governments and the European Union has created stability and a favourable climate status that, combined with the effective functioning of the institutions and the good services of the people, ensure security and comfort for those travelling and staying in the area.
Based on this ascertainment we begun in spring 2004 a cooperation with organisations in Albania and FYROM for the development of cross-border tourism in the area with the moto: “PRESPATUR” PRESPA for FuTURe Economy and Society «Three countries – one destination»
Youth ( 8 items )
One of the main activities of CTP is to provide opportunities to the local youth equal to those that the young people have in other parts of Greece. Thus, we invite young European volunteers through the European programme “Youth in Action” who substantially support the running of our organisation and encourage the children and the young people in our region to learn about other peoples, cultures and mentalities. The association of the young people in our region with European volunteers over the past 4 years has shown good results in the personal development of the youth. CTP gives the chance to the local youth to participate to different workshops and to other creative, educational and informative activities.
